A Luna For Two Alphas

Apart from taking small glances, Archer did not say anything to the girl beside him who was sitting quietly. Judging from her reaction and the way she remained unaffected, Archer’s confusion only grew bigger. Having his mate so near him and breathing the intoxicating smell of her was definitely driving him crazy, but there was no reaction at all from the other side.

“Umm.. How old are you?”

Mustering up his courage, he finally asked that had been bugging him for the past few days.

He knew asking someone’s age was definitely not good manners, but in this case he felt helpless.

Natalia looked at him and gave him a weird look. After all, why would someone want to know about her age?

Nonetheless, she rummaged through her bag to take out a paper pad and pen. She had already been insulted twice and figured out there was no need to be embarrassed further. Scribbling on the paper, she showed it to him and watched him nodding his head for a second. She had expected him to say something in return, but seeing him becoming quiet, she understood everything.

“Hah. It’s all the same.”

As promised, she was dropped right in front of her house and she gave him a thank-you card, expressing her gratitude. She did not try to look back at him and walked straight. Archer waited until he saw her going inside and then left for the pack house.

“I hope you had no problem coming here, Archer.”

Liam’s father and the former Alpha of the Greyhound pack, Noah Grey, pleasantly greeted him.

Archer looked at the group of people waiting to please him and scoffed inward.

“I sincerely thank you for making time for us, Alpha Archer.”

Archer recognized the voice belonged to the young Luna whose ceremony he attended that day.

He followed their lead all the way to the meeting room and got into his work mode. The discussion lasted for about an hour and at the end, he finalized the merger.

“Congratulations on becoming a partner, Alpha Archer.”

Liam Grey could not hide the grin on his face and Archer nodded his head in response. Once the work was done, he gently rejected all the other preparations and left early. His car stopped at the familiar deserted house for a few minutes before speeding up.

Meanwhile, the celebration continued at the pack house because Liam successfully grabbed the deal. Everyone was in a happy mood until James Stone, the young beta in preparation, got a call and a few seconds later, he pulled in his father for some secret conversation.

“I knew it. She is never going to stop embarrassing us.”

His father growled before leaving the celebration in the middle to find out the cause of their collective embarrassment.

“How many times do I have to tell you don’t embarrass us, Natalia?”

Natalia stood rooted to the ground as she heard the familiar yelling and angry shouting of her father. Her father, Peter Stone, was the current Beta of the Greyhound pack and well respected.

“Dear, don’t raise your voice.”

The soft voice belonged to Caroline Stone, her mother and the female beta of the pack.

“You know, no matter what we say, nothing is going to fix her now. So don’t spoil your mood for her.”

Yeah.. She was not the kind mother everyone saw or respected. A mother was supposed to be the home for her child and Natalia was always treated as a stranger by her own mother nonetheless.

“But..”

She tried to defend herself. She wanted to tell everyone she had gone outside to look for a job but, as usual, no words came out of her mouth and she did not want to cause further problems by stammering while conveying herself.

“You should stop causing us more problems, Nat. After all, I’m going to be the future Luna of the pack. How do you think the pack members will respect me with you downgrading me every chance you get?”

“Yeah, stop causing trouble for us. You have no idea how embarrassed I felt when my friends told me about you going to another man’s car.”

The teardrops in her eyes were a second to fall short. After hearing from her younger siblings how ashamed they were because of her, she just nodded her head in understanding and then left the room. There was no place for her in their picture-perfect family where everyone else was perfect and strong, unlike her who was weak and imperfect. Her heart was beating fast as she ran all the way to her courtyard and finally broke down in a closed room. It had been a long time since she stopped crying in front of others and always crying alone.

There were a lot of questions in her mind and she wanted their answers. She wanted to know why their all-mighty Goddess created her like this or gave her a life full of misery, humiliation and self-doubt. Her stomach was already full from all the scolding, and she did not feel like she had an appetite for food. Drinking her own tears, she laid down on her bed and a few minutes later slept peacefully, lost in her dream world.

“Fuck.”

Henry Knight groaned as he opened his eyes and scanned his surroundings. The memories of last night flashed through his mind and he smirked. Feeling someone’s weight on his crotch, he gently put aside a pair of smooth legs. Yawning and stretching, he finally got out of bed and walked towards the bathroom. Looking at his reflection, he smirked seeing the hickeys and marks all over his body.

“Damn, they scratched me up pretty good.”

Though he was thankful to the girls as they did not leave a mark on his handsome face. After washing himself up, he was about to wear some clothes when his phone rang and cursing loudly he picked it up.

“Hey, fucker.”

Liam’s excited voice from the other side irritated him, but after hearing about the party, he was all happy.

“Sure, sure. I will be there Liam."

With that, Henry hung up the phone and got dressed. His stomach was grumbling with hunger, and he went downstairs to have something quick. A few omegas who were in the kitchen immediately giggled, seeing him and gave him flirty eyes and, as usual, he flirted back. His meal was quickly fixed, and he did not hold back. Once finished, he went to his father’s office and continued his lessons as the next heir of the Silver Knight Pack.

“Dad, you are only in your early forties. Do I really have to take on the position of Alpha this early.?”

“Can’t we just wait until I’m like thirty or something?”

However, his complaint had no effect, and he had to go through the session of two hours before he could leave the office.

His day went on smoothly and as evening approached he got ready for Liam’s party. Slaying in his usual jeans and shirt, he combed his long hair neatly, giving a bad boy vibe. Throughout the journey, he drove happily without knowing that his life was about to take a drastic turn from that very moment.

Meanwhile, in the Raven pack, Archer Raven too, paid special attention to his appearance, as he expected to meet his mate and show her some of his charm. With a dark blue suit, his handsome figure looked sophisticated, and his face brightened more than ever.

“Blue does suit me the best.”

Complimenting himself, Archer got inside the car and hummed a tune all the way without knowing what fate had in store for him.
