I stared at the young man as he hovered by the door. He was an attractive young man, and he had kind eyes, even though they were the same haunting red as the other members of the Crimson-Eye Pack. But that wasn't enough to make me want to trust him just because he said he was sent here by Alpha Walker. I stood up slowly and walked over to him, my eyes searching him for signs that he might be putting on some kind of act. He glanced at the door, and I followed his gaze; I couldn't hear any noise from the hallway, but that was hardly surprising.
