Many days had passed since Erik’s escape. I couldn’t believe that I allowed him to one over on me. Dorian and I sent some scouts out in packs every day since searching for him but even his scent had begun to dissolve. We had lost the one man that I wanted to kill more than any other and it was due to my own stupidity. If I hadn’t gone off without telling the others, we could have apprehended him even with the women who had helped him. They were no match for us together.
