I was enjoying myself calmly with my Luna when my warrior interrupted our mindlink conversation to announce that the warrior I had previously sent to my mate's previous pack had returned and they were waiting for me inside of my office.
I immediately told Jana that I had to leave her for a while. I instructed her to just stay in our room since I had business to attend to. She gave the go-ahead and said that I could leave her in my room to get some rest. When I arrived at work, my warriors and beta were there to greet me, as I had anticipated.
"Alpha!"
The three greeted me simultaneously and showed me their respect by bowing their heads. I approached them before I sat down in my swivel chair.
"Beta, you can go now," I ordered.
