CHAPTER FORTY “Thanks for this. I feel so much better now,” Meredith said as they navigated their way into the forest. It was only four forty-five in the evening but the forest was already a little bit dark. There were a few sunrays of the dipping sun in the horizon, still shining through the thickness of the forest. “It looks like you needed it. Ace is clearly very good at getting on your nerves and Brian won’t just leave you alone,” he observed. “Do you have a degree in reading people’s minds?” She questioned. “Let’s just say I’m very observant,” “Okay. I’ll roll with that,” she said as they approached a clearing. She suddenly stopped as brief memories flashed in her mind. “I have been here before,” She muttered. “Really?” “Yeah.
