Landon helped me up from the ground as I saw Dante and his men shooting bows and arrows at the advancing ogres to keep them at bay, but the creatures were slowly gaining on us.
I turned to look at all the warriors that Landon had brought with him, and I was surprised; I didn't think we had that many warriors in our pack.
"We need to move!" Dante yelled.
"This way! We can't lead them back to the village!" I shouted.
I turned around and started running toward the forest, making sure everyone else was following me. We could hear trees being ripped from their roots, leaving a clear trail behind us that the ogres were following.
But I knew what I was doing. Dante caught up to Landon and me at the front of the group.
"Are you really leading them to the castle? They'll destroy it!" Dante ex
