I got something to eat for breakfast and took it into the library. As soon as I walked into the room, I saw Harper sitting at the desk. “What are you doing in here?” I asked, my voice echoing softly amid the towering shelves of ancient tomes and dusty volumes. “I was going to ask you the same thing,” she replied, her gaze flicking across the cluttered room, a myriad of books stacked haphazardly, their spines lined with faded titles and forgotten tales. “Research.
