Vincent stood defiantly in front of Landon, Arabella, and their army, refusing to admit that he was wrong or that he had made a mistake. He was determined to see this conflict through to the end, and Arabella never expected anything different from him. She knew him too well for that, which is why the reinforcements were so crucial for when he showed up.
