10 Miranda appeared to be oblivious to the approaching vehicle. After more than an hour staring at the ground for every stray nut and bolt, Holly was feeling a little oblivious herself. The vehicle was coming far too close for Holly’s comfort. Most of the explosion’s force had been dissipated upward, but enough had been lateral to scatter pieces far and wide. They were following a distinct bulge in the shape of the debris field that was wider than at any other point.
