Jealousy slammed into me like a punch I refused to acknowledge.
I told myself it was only pride. Not because the thought of Lucian f*****g this woman made something ugly and hot twist inside my chest.
Lucian’s jaw tightened.
“Isabella,” he said, voice like ice. “Get out.”
The redhead pouted dramatically. “But Lucian, we have unfinished business from last night—”
“I said get out.”
His tone left no room for argument.
Isabella shot me a hateful glare before striding back into the elevator, heels clicking like warnings.
The doors closed.
Silence crashed down.
Lucian turned fully to me. For a split second, raw possession flashed in his eyes before the cold mask returned.
“You’re shaking,” he noted.
“I’m not,” I lied.
He moved like lightning. His hand caught my wrist in a firm grip, thumb pressing over my frantic pulse as he yanked me against his hard chest.
“Liar.” His voice dropped to a dangerous growl. “First rule broken already.”
I tried to pull away. He didn’t let me. Instead, he backed me against the window, his powerful body caging me in.
“Why are you doing this?” I breathed, heart hammering. “You could have any woman. Why destroy my family just to trap me?”
His free hand slid into my hair, tilting my head back roughly. Our mouths were inches apart.
“Because watching you break for me is going to be the sweetest f*****g thing I’ve ever owned,” he whispered, lips brushing mine. “I’m going to ruin you slowly, Seraphina. And you’re going to beg me for every second of it.”
Heat exploded through my body. My n*****s tightened painfully. I hated how wet I was becoming just from his words and his closeness.
Before I could respond, his mouth crashed down on mine in a brutal, claiming kiss. His tongue invaded, dominating me completely. One hand gripped my ass, pulling me harder against the thick bulge in his pants.
I moaned into his mouth before I could stop myself.
He groaned in response, grinding against me once — a promise of what was coming.
Then the elevator dinged again.
My father’s lawyer stepped out, face pale as death.
“Mr. Voss… complication.”
Lucian didn’t release me. His grip on my hair stayed tight.
“Speak.”
The lawyer swallowed. “The SEC just froze all Langford assets. New evidence. Your father is being arrested as we speak.”
Horror crashed over me.
I looked up at Lucian, eyes wide.
His expression remained cold and controlled.
But deep in those storm-gray eyes, I saw it — dark, satisfied triumph.
He had planned this.
He had known.
And now I was completely, irreversibly trapped in his world.
Lucian leaned down, lips brushing my ear in a hot whisper meant only for me.
“Welcome to our marriage, Seraphina. Try not to scream too loud when I finally f**k you tomorrow night.”
