Death Wish

Life is all about luck and chances, it’s like a game where the fate of your character depends on your decisions. One wrong choice could lead your character to misery and misfortune, in the worst-case scenario their death. It’s the same on how we control our life, we are in a game where rich and elite people reign over us like kings and queens. A game where the balance is broken, it’s the same in real life. Everyone lives in a society where classes are divided inside an unfair system of justification. Rich people have the advantage of running in this wild society while the poor people who suffer from frivolous lives are getting left behind and ignored until the result of their lonely deaths. Every one of us who bears these unequal rights, who wanted to change our lives to a much better one. Where we can live in a place where the world revolves for everybody. If there is a way to change your life, will you take that chance even if it seems impossible? If you are persistent and drawn into the void reality, you will surely take the risk to face these ridiculous trials. The suffering made you blind to the point that you forgot that your own life is valuable. You are willing to do anything, just to take the chance of changing the flow of your life. These kinds of chances are nearly impossible to find, changing the fate of a person is just an imagination of a delusional man. No chances like this will ever appear in the course of our life. Not until the Gods heard the cries of the people who are in despair, an event from above lifted the covers of sorrows and miseries. The Gods have given the people a chance to truly change their life. A blessing of hope for the people who have great desires and ambitions have finally shown up to give the chance of a lifetime. Twelve years ago, an unexpected supernatural event has popped out from nowhere. On a really sunny morning, a mysterious loud sound of a trumpet was echoing all over the country. The golden light skies turned to sinister dark clouds with thunder and lightning accompanying the sound of the booming trumpets. A supernatural phenomenon where the time is paused. It’s a phenomenon where it only happened in films and comics, it’s science fiction. Apparently, the base became real and true, denying all the things the humans believed in. “Announcement, hear an announcement”, a loud transcendent voice came out from nowhere. It was coming from above the dark sky. Its voice echoed loudly all over the place that everyone in the country heard the mysterious voice. “Announcement, hear an announcement”, it repeated several times and the people did not know what was happening, the land became eerie and unsettling, no one knows what was really going on. After some time, the voice is gone but the disturbing feeling was still inside. A loud laser-like sound can be heard from above and it was forming something unbelievable. Several huge holographic-like visuals appeared from the skies, it looked like a giant projector facing the dark sky, but this one was on a whole another level. It was broadcast all over the country by sending several screens from different places of the country for everyone to see. The visual lit up the land like the moonlight in the night. A handful of words were shown on the screen, {The First Wishing Game is now Live} The visual changed panel and showed several faces of different people on the screen. {The first game will now begin} {Game: Bouncing Balls} {Remaining Wishers: 606} The slides changed and shows a crowd of people inside a white sealed large room with very bright white lights setting up the lightings. There were hundreds of them and they look like they are confused and don't know what to do. The bright lights toned down to make the room dimly lit. Then a screen appeared in front of them out of nowhere leaving the people inside the white room startled. “Welcome wishers, to the first challenge of the wishing game”, the voice was talking to the wishers. “Rule . . . . . .”, the voice instructed them about the rules of the game. We couldn’t believe what happened next, inside the next slide are people dying in a cruel and gruesome way, the people were crushed by a giant bouncing metal ball and splat them dead. They were like ants running around for their lives. I don’t how a metal ball could bounce like it was inflated with air but this one was unreal that is breaking the law of physics we humans believed. Pictures and names were shown at the side of the screen and there was an ‘X’ mark on their mouths as their picture turns light red. The people who were shown were marked good for dead. The people on land couldn’t believe what they were seeing. It was like a real game show where you actually die, it was uttermost brutality, it was too horrid for humans to see with their clear eyes. That’s how the wishing game started, it was the day we will never forget and tainted history and disturbed the future generation's goals and beliefs, forever. The game went on several cruel and gruesome challenges, people die one by one playing the endless rounds of the cruel game. It continued until the winner was declared. To over six hundred and six people, only one managed to survive. The man named ‘Oh Man Shik’ won the very first wishing game. The prize was an ultimate wish, where your wish comes true, no matter how impossible it is, it will happen. {The Wishing Game has ended} The game ended and we couldn’t know what the winner wished for and it became one of the mysteries. The sky lit up by the help of the sun and the time started running again. After the first wishing game, several speculations and conspiracies came out about the deadly game. Some said, it was a hoax and was just spectacular entertainment. Not until when some witnesses came up and said that they know the people who were in the game. The people who participated and were marked dead in the game were nowhere to be found, they have gone missing. That’s complete proof that the game called ‘The Wishing Game’ was indeed real. We actually watched people die infront of our eyes. What was more shocking is that several countries in the world also experienced supernatural events. It was a worldwide phenomenon. It was the day that marked history and tainted several beliefs and superstitions.. A year passed and the nightmare showed up again to hunt us. The event that we didn’t want to happen again.
