(Rebecca's POV) Connie is best woman. She stands to Eric's left with a clipboard she has brought as a joke and is using as a prop to hide the fact that she is crying. She is crying harder than anyone on the rooftop. Harder than Miriam, who has been crying since she arrived. Harder than Luke, who at least has the dignity of only his eyes. Connie is crying with her whole face and her whole chest and she is denying it, on the record, to anyone who looks at her. "I'm fine. Allergies. It's the fairy lights." She draws a shuddering breath. "I'm an officer of the court and I am not crying." She is crying. She has been crying since she watched me walk onto the rooftop. She stored champagne for six years waiting for my divorce and now she is standing at my wedding and the clipboard is not fool
