Emery’s POV
“Are you surprised?”
They all stared at me like I grew bigger in a second. The room was dead silent, and none was saying a thing. Isn’t that what they thought? Ok, nah. They didn’t expect it from me.
“But you originated from the werewolf family, right?” It was Mia who questioned me as everyone remained silent.
“My mom is a wolf, same with my sister, but I’m just me, a human,” I said, bringing my head down.
It’s the saddening truth, though it’s hard for me to comprehend, but I’m just human. It’s me and me.
“Your dad?” She added.
“I don’t want to talk about him” I looked up and stared at each and every one of their faces, resting my gaze on Kaiser’s.
Lilian was still holding onto him tightly, and I felt the urge to punch her badly, but I can’t reduce myself to her level.
