The whole place looked beautifully decorated, even the trees that that lined the entrance to the pack were all adorned with stunning lights. Although the party this evening was supposed to be low key, with only neighbouring packs invited, the Luna had left no detail unattended. A sad smile appeared on my lips as my thought once again went back to alpha Axel.
I did my best to avoid him all through yesterday, but he had finally cornered me early this morning on my way to the kitchen. He had startled me when he snaked his hand out of a dark room and pulled me in with his hand covering my mouth. When I noticed he was the one I had sagged on his shoulder with relief, and he in turn just held me there. We had talked without looking at each other.
