Sandy took note of the name Keir had just called Octavia; why did Octavia have such a nickname and she didn't? Well, not that she cared about that, but the way Keir was fond of Octavia didn't sit well with her. She had even questioned him eventually about their relationship because of that incident when he called Octavia's name while in bed with her, but Keir reassured her that nothing was going on.
He reassured her that it had only happened because Octavia and he had just had an argument and she was on his mind, but she didn't really buy it. She eventually just let it slide because they were not on talking terms, but now he had gone ahead to invite Octavia with the excuse that his mother insisted that Octavia and other people who knew Rue attend the ceremony.
