“Oh John!” she squealed. “I can’t hug you – I’ll cover you in dust.” “Air kiss!” I laughed. We mimicked the typical celebrity kiss. “I’m so sorry that I forgot to ask how your exam went,” Amy said, with an apologetic look. “Oh, it was really good actually,” I said, “I think I did well.” “That’s great!” she responded. “When are your next papers?” “Not for a month, thank goodness.” I knew she was bursting to get the call over with. We found a clean part of the workshop – over in a corner in case somebody else did come in.
