Addison’s POV
The Day of the Event, the first week of April:
As a treat for us both, my aunt had someone come to the house to do our hair and makeup for the gala. She said tonight was important to our family. We would be front and center at a table near the front. Since I usually avoid attending events, they have forgotten who I am. I can’t help but avoid the spotlight, as my greatest fear is that the video will be released. I can take it, but the shame it would bring my family is not something I want them to deal with.
