Garrett’s POV
I watched in frustration as Addison turned and left me standing there. She didn’t even look back. She was angry, and I knew I would have to beg her forgiveness all the way home. I knew she would order an Uber to get home, so I needed to hurry. I didn’t want her to leave without me. I still hadn’t had enough time with her. I would never be able to have enough time with her.
I’ve missed her for so long. I had waited years to hold her in my arms again. Only to be disappointed when she finally returned and couldn’t even stand to look at me. I just needed her to understand that I was right at the finish line without knowing I was in a race.
