Now, that caught my attention. “Why?” I asked carefully.
“I don’t believe it. How could Addison have anyone backing her? She is pitiful. She lived next door to us forever, and they rarely had visitors,” Valerie pointed out. We spoke at the same time.
“Do you remember her attorney from the trial?” our Dad asked us.
“Yeah,” I replied with a frown. He was a shark. I would hate to go up against him. I was glad that Addison had such a good attorney in her corner. I remembered him at the first trial. I remember how confident Tammy was until he arrived in the courtroom. Her public defender looked worried after he saw who he was up against.
