I stood next to the SUV, wanting to scream in frustration. They didn’t even unlock it for me. Like, I am now a pariah or something. They didn’t get in a hurry to come out here either. They were so wrapped up in telling that little bastard goodbye. I'm their daughter, their sister. I'm a part of their actual family.
