“Dr. Please do everything to make my mother heal....”
“We need forty thousand dollars to operate on your mother.”
“I will look for money, please help me.”
“We need the money until this Saturday or we might be too late for your mom’s operation.”
The doctor went on his way while I sobbed in the corridor of the hospital. Then a man came beside me.
“Why? What is wrong? What happened to your mother?”
“She would always faint because her heartbeats are too slow and sometimes become irregular. She needs to be operated on and have an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator(ICD)”
“How much money do you need?”
“Forty thousand for the operation plus the hospital bills. I am not sure”
Tears continued to roll down my cheeks, and my mind is in total confusion.
