Angel’s POV, the night her parents died: After being unrightfully put in detention, I drag my feet home from school. All I want to do is snuggle into bed and sleep. Mom won’t let me skip dinner or my sister’s performance, but I’m not sure I care. As always, she will be understanding to the point of annoying, but it’s unfair to be targeted by teachers who fear Alpha Pond. I open the door only to see utter chaos. I was expecting some chaos.
