I try to relax in the bath, mentally preparing myself for my next client, but my head turns to my dear Angel. What the hell has she mixed herself into? It’s not normal. I can accept one lousy client, but almost getting kidnapped a few days later? It has to be more than that!
I just wished she would tell her brother, if not the police. I understand why she wants to hide terrible things from him, but he’s almost 17 and has already learned too much about how cruel the world can be.
