✴ Damien ✴ I wasn’t angry. I was furious. Scarlett’s vague text could only mean one thing. Something was wrong and the only thing I could think of was that Jonathan had shown up. The worry and anger burned in my mind, and my grip tightened on the steering wheel. I parked haphazardly in front of the boutique, not caring if I blocked traffic. My only thought was getting inside and making sure she was safe. The bell above the door jingled as I entered, but I barely registered it.
