I watched the microphone pass from hand to hand. I watched the guests clap in delight at the words of praise flowing towards them from the stage. I had to admit that Carter's father, although he looked like a man carved from stone with an expression that didn't express emotion, was a man with words.
In a few minutes, he presented his story, the story of his father, and the hard work they both turned into success.
