03 || A What?!

The following morning I woke up with a heavy head and a dry mouth. I couldn't remember much of what happened last night. I slowly sat up and stretched, I blinked the sleep away from my system and looked around. Realization slowly hits when I saw that I was not in my own home nor in any of my friend's houses. I looked down at myself and I was naked, and so was the man beside me. I covered my mouth, and slowly slid my fingers to my lips. I anxiously bit my nail. What on earth happened last night? I took deep breaths.  "You're up?" a deep, masculine voice chimed from beside me.  I slowly looked at him with wide eyes.  "You look like a deer caught in headlights." he mused.  "Who are you?" I managed to stutter out.  "Well, first of all I'm the owner of the car that your friend threw up in." he smirked.  He stretched as he got up. His muscles were very prominent and I couldn't stop myself from staring. I unconsciously bit my lower lip as I stared at him. I shook myself out of my daze and looked back at him to see he was amused by my staring and decided to stare as well. Realizing that I was actually naked, I instinctively covered my breasts.  "What's your name?" I quietly ask. "You already forgot even though you were practically screaming out my name out constantly last night." he chuckled "My name is Damien." "Hi..." I whispered.  "Hello, Nina." he whispers back.  He leans in towards me and stopped a few inches away from my lips.  "What are you doing?" I managed to breathe out.  He smirked at himself, and pulled away.  "Nothing, I just wanted to see something." he says deadpan.  "What exactly would that be, Damien?" I say raising an eyebrow.  I heard a rumble erupt from his chest.  "What was that?" I asked.  "I couldn't help myself when you say my name." he said truthfully.  "How come?" I asked.  "It's but the nature of what I am, Nina." he replies.  When he says my name it brings butterflies to my stomach, is this the feeling he was talking about, or am I just going insane? The sound he made though, it didn't sound human at all. It sounded more like a dog. I don't want to be mean but that's what it sounded like. He couldn't help himself if he has certain habits, right? "I mean, it's a habit you have. You can't do anything about it really." I chuckled quietly.  "What do you mean?" he asks as he slowly leans his body towards me.  "What I meant was some of us have certain habits like grumbling. Yours just sounds different to me, and it's the first time I've ever heard of anything like that. I don't blame you or judge you for anything though." I explained.  He looked at me with those cold looking eyes, and he later bursts into laughter. I frowned at the thought that he found whatever it is I said funny. To him, it was funny.  "I didn't mean to laugh." he said in between breaths.  "You still are." I accused.  He took deep breaths and calmed himself down. He gently touched my head.  "I just found it funny that you would assume I'm human, and that it simply sounds weird." he whispers. I furrowed my eyebrows and pulled away from his touch. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I stared at him.  "It's pretty much what it is. I told you, I'm not human. the sounds I make are natural to what I am. Before you say anything no I'm not a weirdo that thinks I'm a supernatural. I can show it to you if you wish to see what I really am, Nina." he smiles with a tight lip.  Going along with whatever this kind of practical joke is I nodded.  "Fine, show me." I challenged.  "Don't faint." he smirks.  He stands up and goes to the foot of the bed. His private part was very much exposed and it was HUGE for something that's flacid! I took a deep breath and focused on his face.  "I won't, Just show me." I said.  "You were distracted by other things so I didn't. I want to make sure you see me." he smirked.  "Shut up and just do it." I demanded.  Canines protruded, and a bunch of bones cracking and breaking filled my ears. Before I knew it there was a huge black wolf with red eyes in front of me. The wolf was larger than the normal wolves I have actually managed to see and it was terrifying. My eyes widened, even more, when the wolf started approaching me. I felt myself backing away. As he approached closer, I felt myself let out a scream and everything went black.  I woke up to a cold, and dark room. What happened?  "Just how much did I drink last night? I even had a weird dream..." I murmured.  My eyes slowly focused and I saw him. I immediately sat up and covered myself with a blanket.  "It wasn't a dream..." I said not letting my eyes leave Damien.  "It wasn't." he smirked.  "So you're really a dog?" I quietly asked.  "A dog?" he snorted. "I'm a Lycan, love." "Are you going to kill me?" I asked. Folktales have been known to demonize Lycans and wolves. There were known to be ruthless creatures to be killing for the sake of killing, and not even to satisfy their hunger. If he was going to kill me, he can kill me now.  He slowly started moving towards me and I closed my eyes. I was mentally preparing myself for the pain and the life flashing before my eyes.  "Why in the name of Goddess would I kill my mate? The mate that I've waited 70 years for?" he said.  He's been alive for 70 years? That's a pretty long time, and he's very old.  "I'm your mate?" I asked.  "Yes. I'm sure you know what a mate is. It's all over the internet, and even books now have a 'history' of what we are." he smirked.  I nodded.  What is happening with my life right now?
