Adalee Hansley is an eighteen-year-old virgin who loves helping people and is very stubborn. She loves volunteering at the local shelter. She goes to the shelter one day and ends up staying later than her boss intended her to. She comes face to face with none other than Zayne Culverson. He is the leader of the Mafia, and suddenly, all she can think about is him. She knows it is dangerous if she ever meets him again, but little does she know that she has gained the attention of Zayne and her world is about to be turned upside down.

Zayne Culverson is twenty-five years old and Mafia King in Chicago. He is known to be cruel, dangerous, and cold-hearted. People cower when they come face to face with him. He rules over Chicago with an iron fist. Everyone knows not to fûck with him or his town. One day, he receives a call from Mrs. Dandy who runs a local shelter in his town. She begs for his help and money, so he decides to visit this shelter and see if it is worth his time and money.

He meets a young girl who takes his breath away and makes his heart skip a beat, but she runs away before he can catch her name. He knows that he wants her. He always gets what he wants. Whether by choice or fôrce. She will be his. In fact, she WAS his. She just didn't know it yet.
