We arrive at Gabriel's house, and Consuela comes toward us from the main door. "Welcome back, Izzy!" she says happily, and we exchange hugs. "The soup smells so good, Gabriel. I think you outdid yourself this time. Hmm, love can conquer everything!" she says to Gabriel.
Gabriel chuckles. "You just want me to thank you for helping me this morning, Consuela?"
"Oh, hush!" Consuela laughs and takes my hand. "Come on, sweetheart. Let's sit while waiting for Gabriel to finish the food."
"I'm super curious now," I say while walking together into the house.
"You'll see," Gabriel says. "Have a seat in the living room with Consuela. I'm going to check on the food." He kisses my cheek in front of Consuela and goes to the kitchen. My face is hot now.
