As we neared the border we saw our patrols already dead and rogues flooding in, trying to take the pack. What shocked me most was seeing my father leading them. He looked between Ethan and me, confused because he didn’t recognise me anymore. I charged straight into the rogues, knocking them aside as I pushed toward him. I was focused on him, but one rogue blindsided me and hit hard enough to knock me off balance. He came off worse, and I realised how much stronger I had become.
