"Mommy! Mommy!" Evangeline is the first one to come running to me as soon as we get home. She has a cute flowing pink dress on with flowers stitched to the middle. I bend down and open my arms and she comes flying into them. I pick her up and spin in a circle and she laughs a full belly laugh. "Mommy, I flew!" She says and my eyes go wide. I look up at Alexander approaching and he chuckles, shaking his head.
"She flew on Marven's back." He says and my excitement falls. For a moment I thought she shifted, even though I know it is far too early for that. Sure Marven shifted at a young age, but that is because he is her protector and his dragon wanted to help him save his little sister and besides, Marven was always a bit more mature than any his age.
