My heart is full and my soul feels light. I can feel the world taking from me again, but this time it only takes enough to heal. I have the power back now and I am once again the chosen queen, but none of that truly matters. I am alive and for the first time ever, I feel truly alive. I know Donahue will have questions and I know I will need to tell him about the broken bond, but I know we will word through it. He is still my mate in my heart and I know that even without the bond, I am his.
I don't know how long I stand there in the tree, time only a word here. I give the island what it needs and then I give what I can to the world. I know it won't take more than I can give. When I open my eyes again and step out of the tree, green grass touches my feet as a shadow is cast over me
