Ashley traced her hand over the old, worn-out page, staring at the vague picture of the Hydra. It looked frightening, yet majestic, a white sea-dracone, with a snake-like body and long fins. She noticed how the water seemed to dance around the creature, as if following its command, and the touch of lightning added in the sky above. The artist, Ms. Priella Cooper-- whoever she was-- had deliberately made the Hydra look even more terrifying than it had to be. Or maybe, her depiction of it was supposed to be a warning to the casters, to never venture out too far in the sea.
Ashley let out a sigh, looking away from the page. She could not believe it. Lycans, casters, dracones, faeries, and now sea-serpents. What's next? Centaurs and unicorns?
