GRACE POV I was starting to think something was off. Like, really off. Connor’s mom was weird. And not just the “eccentric rich aunt who collects porcelain frogs” kind of weird—no, this was next-level, borderline certifiable. One: the Nessie-themed sweater. Two: she kept talking to Connor even when he wasn’t talking. Like, full conversations, mid-air, no pause, as if telepathy was a casual family trait.
