Conner carried Ivy up to the main house, which to Ivy looked like a small castle rather than a house. The place was surrounded by a handful of wolves and men alike for protection in case any of the newcomers made it past the rest of the pack and tried to get inside. The men closest to the door opened it for Conner, allowing him to continue moving without stopping. Inside, a tall woman with red hair and light purple eyes greeted them, “Hello Conner.” The woman smiled at Ivy, and a flash of jealousy moved through Ivy.
