Riley’s POV
Mellie ran around the packlands for hours, only stopping once to drink some water from a lake that we found. The pack was extremely beautiful, and I was so glad we got the chance to explore it. I knew Mellie was too because she was prancing like a pup and was beyond excited, which made me very happy for her. I was glad that I could give her the chance to get some exercise. It had been a little while since I last let her out to stretch her legs, so I was more than happy to let her do it now.
When she was satisfied with the run, Mellie trotted back to where we left our clothes and gave me back control, shifting effortlessly back into our human form. I quickly got dressed again and then followed Christian’s scent back toward the packhouse. I probably could have found my way back
