When Lisa recovered her senses, she found herself in a white room that was unfamiliar yet didn’t look completely foreign. “The hospital,” she muttered to herself. She tried to move her hand but didn’t feel strong enough to do so. She actually felt quite drained for some reason. She could feel an IV up her arm, and wondered what she needed it for. “Lisa,” she heard Gabriel let out on a sigh from where he sat next to her. Was it a sigh of relief or annoyance? She didn’t know and she didn’t dare to ask. Instead, she closed her eyes in frustration, not wanting to see the man that was her husband. There was one thing that didn’t feel right, but she couldn’t pinpoint it… she touched her belly, hoping to feel something, anything, but then remembered that her baby had yet to start moving
