Maya’s POV
“What are you doing here?” I asked, my dagger resting against his long, sharp neck.
“Checking out your old room …” he leaned closer to my ear. His scent surrounded me. Dark, wild, dangerously familiar. “… and planning to make new memories here,” he smoothly replied. Before I could react, his fingers flicked my dagger away as if it were nothing more than a speck of dust. The blade clattered somewhere across the room.
My eyes narrowed.
“Don’t you dare touch me,” I warned and he playfully chuckled. The full moon’s glow illuminated my dark room like my words did to his mood.
In one swift movement, he caught my wrists and pinned them above my head against the wall. The sudden closeness stole the breath from my lungs. This man could make my heart beat like a raging bull even now
