28- "Pertaining to me?"

I held him in his arm. I immediately noticed two empty wine bottles beside him.

"Did you drink?"

"Ryn..."

Little did I know, he was already sobbing. He had a glass of wine in his hand while sobbing.

I gasped and sat down next to him, who is facing the counter. Never mind, we used to be sitting on the same stool, he was facing the counter, and I was facing the opposite direction.

I approached him. "Is there a problem? Are you drunk?"

He nodded. "There is a problem."

"What's the matter, Zack? I might be able to help. Does it have anything to do with your education?"

He shook his head. "This isn't an academic issue. If it is, I will not get drunk, and I will not cry like this just for that. This is, actually, a ..." he smiled bitterly. "A heart problem."

"Zack ..."

"The girl I love so much, she doesn't want to listen to me!" he continued.

I just sighed. I really don't like this topic. It hurts me to hear that he loves someone else.

"You know what's better, Zack? I'll just take you to your room and then just put it to sleep," I tried to dodge and was about to stand up, but he gently held my hand to stop me.

I looked at my hand he was holding. If we could just stay this way for a lifetime...

"She doesn't want to listen to me. She always avoids me when I try to let her know."

My heart pounded. She's not listening to him? Avoiding him when he lets the girl know? Why am I suddenly having this certain feeling that he is, actually, pertaining to me?
