Rose’s POV
Two days after returning back from the lake house, I get summoned to meet with Cal. A car comes to pick me up and drives me out to Cal’s home. I’m met by the same muscular guys at the door.
“Follow me.” One of them says. I follow him inside, just like before, all the way to Cals office. He opens the doors and I walk in.
“Rose! Thanks for coming in on such short notice. I was hoping you were free tonight. You see I have an event I must attend, but I need someone to come with me. Please say you’ll come.” I look at him, I’m a bit thrown off by his invitation.
“I don’t have anything to wear.”
“Don’t worry about a thing. I’ll take care of all that. Just say you’ll come.” Not that I have much choice in the matter.
“If I refuse?” I just want to see what he’ll say.
