Sadie’s POV
The moment had finally arrived, and I knew that I couldn't put it off any longer. My heart was racing as I prepared to ask Jacob the question that had been weighing on my mind for so long.
I took a deep breath and gathered my courage before finally blurting out, "Jacob, are we mates?"
I watched as Jacob's eyes filled with a sad glint, and I knew what that meant.
