SOMEWHERE DIFFERENT

CHAPTER TWO

Kim's pov

I arrived in a small town called empires state. I had no idea what I was going to do with my life and I sure had no experience in work. I hated my sister, I hated Josh but deep I knew I still loved him and I hated myself for making Josh my whole life. I had no money in a new town and no home, no one I knew. One thing I knew was that if my life was going to end and if I join my parents it was to be far away from Josh. I would rather he never knew, I was nobody without him than watch him with the person I thought had my back all the time.

"Mummy how did my little sister get in your stomach? Did you eat her" I asked my mum. She giggled and answered me,"no baby, I didn't eat her, am protecting her until she's old enough to come out and see you. And then you can protect her too just like I did and you two will have each other's back cause that's what sisters and family do." "But mummy am only four years old. How can I prothect her!" I told my mom in my squeaky voice. "It's protect baby and you will be a big girl soon and will look after her. But you two will always be my little girls."

From the door I heard my daddy "alright time for bed you two.goodnight baby. " he kissed my forehead so did mom and they left.

And since the day my sister was born I thought we had each other but I was so wrong. It was dark outside when I arrived, I kept walking looking for a place to stay. I found a bench near the bus station and I kept the small bag I had as a pillow. During the night I heard some voices and woke up, only to see three drunk guys coming my way. I tried to run away but one of them caught me.

"What a pretty little thing you are. How about some fun with you?" I begged to let go but one pushed me to the ground and tried to have his way with me while the others told him to make it fast cause they needed a turn. I tried to fight them off and I bit the man on top of me. He go really annoyed and slapped me really hard across my face. I kept trying to fight them off and when the other two held my hands, I used my legs and kicked the man on top of me in the balls. "You little bitch! I will teach you never to mess with me." The next few minutes went by with me screaming and trying to get up as the three men beat me up, I gave up on screaming and waited for darkness to come. Suddenly there was a loud bang that rang through the air and the men ran off. The last thing I heard was a woman telling me help was on the way but I couldn't really see her and darkness took over.

All I could feel was pain and so much pain through out my body. I could hear some beep sound and I wanted it off. I opened my eyes but they felt like I couldn't open them fully. I looked around the room I was in and I saw a white ceiling and cream walls. On the sofa near the bed was an elderly couple hugging each other as they were asleep. As if the woman could sense that I had woken up opened her eyes and shook her husband. She came towards me and held my hand.

"Who are you people?" I forced myself to speak but my throat hurt so bad."Don't talk honey. I will call the doctor for you" the woman said and she leaned over and pressed the button on the wall. She leaned into her husband who I only noticed now that he was standing next to her.

"My name is Mary and this is my husband John. We brought you here." Before I could answer a man in a white coat enter and was wearing scrubs under the coat so I assumed he was a doctor. "Hello miss. I'm Dr Andre, glad to see you finally awake. How are you feeling?"

"Like I have been hit by a truck. Can I have some water?" Mary came with a glass while doctor Andre helped me up and I took the water. When I was done he helped me lay down again. "How long was I out?" "You have been unconscious for a week now. But I happy to say you have no broken bones and will make a full recovery in no time given you take proper care of yourself and the baby is fine." Thank God I will be fine......wait did he say baby? I looked at him.

" Did you say ba...bbaaby?"

"Yes miss, I glad to say you are a month pregnant and the baby is fine and healthy. I will leave you to rest and will check in on you later." With that he walked out. I touched my stomach and thought what I was going to do. Tears rolled down my cheeks. Mary was by side and hugged me but not enough to hurt me. I cried in her arms and the way she hugged me made me miss my mother.

After I had calmed down, John asked "sweetie why are you sad? A child is a blessing and you should be happy."

" I have no where to stay and nothing to keep myself going. How am I to raise a child like that?" As I said that I couldn't help the tears the spilt out of my eyes. John and Mary looked at each other like they were secretly communicating and John nodded. Mary then said,"if it's okay with you,you could live with us and don't worry stay as long as you want till you get on your feet." I thought about it and realised I actually had no choice and if these people turned out to be creeps I would run away and find a new place. I then nodded and you could see the joy in Mary's eyes. Then then left to prepare a place I would stay in while with them and said they would come and see me in the morning.

That night,I cried myself to sleep and couldn't help but think about how Josh always wanted to have kids.

"Baby, don't you think we could have the cutest babies when we get married?" "Babe, you at it again with the baby talk sometimes I think you actually want to knock me up even before we married" I giggled. "You bet I do baby,I fact...." he said that as he got on top of me. "How about I show you how we make babies" he finished that sentence as he kissed my neck and that night we made love all night long till we couldn't anymore.

Josh I wish you feel the pain I have been going through after what you did. I wish I could hate you but I know you are the only man I have and will ever love. I guess I have to be strong for my baby.
