Vanessa wrapped up with the work she was doing on her laptop. Rising up from her swivel chair, she picked up her phone and bag and walked out of her office, shutting her door right behind her.
She approached Lily's office that wasn't so far from hers.
"Lily, it's time to go." She called out from outside, accompanying her voice with a knock on the door.
"Oh, right. I'll be outside in a minute." Lily replied from inside her office.
Vanessa could hear the shuffling of files from where she stood, and then footsteps approaching her and Lily swung the door open.
"Let's go." Vanessa muttered. Turning around, she walked towards the elevator.
Soon, the elevator doors open and they both walked inside with Vanessa glancing at her phone on her wrist. She had a potential client to meet with today
