Ryoka actually couldn’t believe her eyes and ears after the announcement she made, they were cheering, everyone in the building was shouting and cheering, in all honesty she hadn’t expected that, neither had she planned it, surely she had expected frowns and grumbles and then maybe acceptance from some of them in the room, but then, right here right now, they were all cheering, whether or not they believed she has the ability to deliver a good plan towards achieving success, whether or not they actually agree with this next plan of action she just announced, they were all cheering at the moment.
Still during the cheers, Ryoka got down along with Adrian and his siblings and they went to sit at a more central table with spaces all around it, and as the cheer died down everyone started getting together in groups; groups of breed, groups of age, even groups of status as Ryoka noticed that the nobles still didn’t want to mix despite the fact that doing that was pretty much baseless at the moment, they were all newly freed captives after all and they were all still fighting for freedom together.
The groups sent delegates forward, representatives to sit at the table with Ryoka, Adrian and his siblings and be their voice and also relay information back to them, and then every other person left the hall, the group and delegate selection process was really fast, it made Ryoka wonder, but then she noted that this had actually been done before now, they were ready for this after all.
One other thing she noted was that there wasn’t anyone left standing separate anymore, those who had wanted to leave had apparently had a change of mind and the indecisive ones had finally also decided to stay and fight.
The meeting started with all round introductions and then Ryoka once more explained some of the things that would have to be done by the representatives; first a list has to be compiled to contain everyone from each group so that everyone can be accounted for properly and so that there would proper maximization of the supplies and resources left to them, this much everyone agreed to.
Then she stated that those with relatives outside of the safe house should be noted as well and give proper details of the location of their loved one, that is if they want the protection of the revolution, after all they might be targeted, but then if such an individual decides that his or her people are safe enough and doesn’t need or want the involvement of the revolution then fine, no need for location giving except to those in charge of welfare. At first there was opposition to that idea stating that it might be a bit too much on the revolution to still take in more people especially if those people won’t be adding anything of value to the revolution.
Ryoka was quick to correct that no matter what the situation might be, they would always help those considered to be relatives, loved ones and dear friends, else the revolution is meaningless since it is those type of people that they are fighting for after all.
After that was cleared, they moved the conversation to the next plan of action proposed by Ryoka, at the start of the conversation, no one was eager to speak, this made Ryoka realize that despite the fact that they were joyous for the fact that they might get to finally set the queen free, especially considering that she had probably been in the WIC’s clutches the longest, despite all that, they were skeptical and doubtful and probably scared, especially seeing how difficult it might turn out to be.
“Ryoka, I understand the need to lift the people’s spirits, the need to give them hope and have something to look forward to, so I understand why you would say the next plan of action is to free the dragon queen herself, although I don’t really think we should have gone so far” Caleb said, he was one of the soldiers that once worked under Ryoka’s father, a dn mutant, bronze-back dragon breed.
“I didn’t say that just to lift anyone’s spirits or give anyone hope, I said that because it is the next step, the next plan of action and the best possible one we can take as at now, seeing how totally unexpected it would be, I mean, they would’ve have increased security in their warehouses and prison facilities and lab facilities and even other places they’ve got under their control thinking we might come for any one at any time, but there is no way they would ever think that we would be bold enough to hit their core itself and free their longest reigning captive” Ryoka answered.
“It might be the best course of action, but that doesn’t make it the wisest, think about what we’d be doing here for a second, I don’t know where mother is being held but I sure as hell know it’ll be one of their biggest, strongest and impossible facility yet, heck you’d be sending everyone that goes along right back into the den they just escaped from, and believe me when I tell you, mother is not just their longest reigning prisoner, she is also their most valuable prisoner, any attempt on her will be met with brute and deadly force, they will take no prisoners, I tell you, so just have a rethink about this I beg of you, don’t send us all to a needless death” Arcturus said, he was one of the Eldrians that had been in the first battle along side Ryoka’s mother as well, a distant cousin to Ryoka’s mother, he is one of the representatives of the nobles, and he is a Braemen dragon breed, brother to those Ryoka’s mother killed on the day of her escape with Ryoka and her father.
“Arc, I am not so much of a kid that I would be oblivious in the face of real and actual danger, I know what this means and what it might very well cost us, but the rewards is way more than the risks, firstly, Elouise is their only current source of the serum that is being used to control the Eldrians, from which the variant that is being used for some dn mutants as well, secondly, I’ve been communicating with her ever since I and my father parted ways and I started to embrace and train my dragon, she is getting weaker as the communication link is getting poorer, but she has given me enough information for me to know where she is even though she did it without being conscious of what she was doing, and third, I believe she has the most crucial information on how to destroy the WIC once and for all and well also to reverse what happened on the dragon continent Eldross, I believe she has found a way to make it habitable once again” Ryoka said.
“This is why she is and has to be our priority right now, we need to get her out of there before she is no longer herself, once we lose her conscious mind that is the end, she will only become meat and a source of resources for WIC, nothing more nothing less” Ryoka added and from the expression on their faces, she was satisfied that they now knew how serious this was and that it wasn’t just the wish of a little dragon girl, because she was sure that was how the likes of Arcturus saw her.
“Ok, so, how are we to possibly go by this? How can we ensure that this mission goes our way even if worse comes to worse? Because I’m sure everything about this mission is on the highest difficulty level; infiltration is next to impossible, navigation is going to be difficult, communication as well is going to be next to impossible, rescue, breakout and escape, well that is just impossible as of yet” Arcturus said still looking for an angle to get the mission called off, Ryoka couldn’t blame him, she knew he was with her mother during the first failed attempt to get back at the WIC and she knew how devastating it must have been for him to watch his fellow comrades fall in battle, be taken prisoner and others experimented on.
“The key to this mission being successful in the least and most would be me, I have the layout of the facility, and I’ll work with a team of artist to develop it into a blueprint of sorts, and most probably a 3D model, and I’ll be needing twenty people for this mission, those once and still considered the very best, anything short of that won’t work, after the selection of the twenty people, we train for at least five days, first honing our abilities all, and then working together on different plans and strategies for the mission, taking the knowledge of the structure of the facility well into consideration this time” Ryoka said, what she didn’t say yet was that she as well needed to train her draugh fuh for this mission all depends totally on she being able to use it well.
“Very well, we will make everything you need available to you and as well render ourselves to you, commander Ryoka” Caleb said his willingness to be of service made her see the true soldier in him, she needed people like him the most for this mission, she was sure people would die on this mission, although she would try her possible best to protect the lives of everyone with her.
“Then let the preparations begin, please bring me everyone considered to be an artist that is here, we need to work on getting the structure out of my head alone and bring it out for everyone to see and for us to work with” Ryoka said on a final note for the hours long meeting to come to an end and the preparation of the operation to being immediately after.
