Freya’s POV As soon as my wolf’s feet hit the pavement of the driveway to my house, I began to shift. When I reached the front door, Derek, the butler, had the door open, and his eyes were wide. This was the first time that he had seen my wolf. When I entered the house naked, he said nothing. He threw a blanket over my shoulders. “He is in his room,” Derek said. I ran up the stairs and down the hall to Ezren’s room. I burst past the door without knocking. He was lying in bed, propped up on pillows. He grinned, gray eyes sparkling at me. I hurried to the bed, needing to see him, to touch him, to know he was okay. He pulled me close with his good arm and settled me beside him. The blanket slipped off my shoulder, and he brushed his fingers over the gunshot. Wounds healed faster in wolf
