“What do you think?” I asked Clare.
She blinked hard and tucked a short strand of hair behind her ear. “Do you think that is a good idea with everything that has happened lately . . . I mean, we are still working on combining the two packs.”
With my hands locked behind my back, I watched the sun play across the surface of the leaves on the trees outside. “We will bring in both packs to work together. Both will be heard, and both will join in a common goal to improve life for all packs. Steelmaw, being suppressed by Kael, will understand and want change, while Silvermoon knows how easily things can be taken if not protected by the system. Laws need to change.”
