Chapter One Hundred and Nineteen – The Forgotten Mate and The Alpha Prince
The stench of rotten flesh filled the unclaimed forest lands in central Europe. Many rogues had gathered, the number reaching upwards of 700 now. The promise of wealth beyond measure, revenge on those who had cast them out of their packs, and the thirst for power fuelling their bloodlust. Louise paced the forest floor, the fallen leaves crunching beneath her feet. She was not happy, but she never was. With each passing month, her wolf became increasingly feral, and nobody was able to tame it. Not even the lust-filled activities she had used to keep her wolf sedated worked anymore. No matter how many of the men she slept with, it did little to send her wolf into the soporific state she required to control her.
