(Aaron's POV) I glance down at myself. She's right. In the moonlight's harsh illumination, my ghostly nature is visible. My edges are blurry, slightly see-through. Like I'm not quite real. Because I'm not. I have two choices. Lie. Maintain my cover. Keep her in the dark for the remaining thirty-six hours. Or tell her the truth. Give her the answers she deserves, even if they destroy her. Before she can touch me, I step back instinctively, into the shadows where I'm more solid.
