I relished in my vindication when I closed the door behind me. Although I felt a small amount of attraction towards Rickon it was hardly anything to stress over nor enough to get jealous. He had defiled me against my will, and for that he would pay for the rest of his life. I hoped I had disturbed him enough to never want to touch me again or anyone else.
In the morning I got dressed and headed to the armory room. On my way the young brunet whos nose I had smashed in last night was being wheeled down the hall. The nurse stopped and gave me a friendly smile. The brunet looked up, she had a bandage over whatever was left of her nose and both her eyes were bruised. She gasped and stared at me with a mixture of horror and anger.
"That was quite a fall." I said taunting her. She lowered her head and began to cry.
"I would say so! She will need reconstructive surgery. What a nasty accident, it's the worst I have seen!" The nurse said in a disappointed voice.
"Take care of your new nose and don't drink and slip again." I waved her away dismissing her and continued to walk to the armory room. I could hear her cries down the hall even after a couple of minutes had passed by. I felt nothing for her even then.
When I entered the armory room Tarvius was inside examining an axe. I rolled my eyes annoyed that there was someone else in the room. He looked at me with a scowl, also annoyed by my presence. He put the fancy axe back on the rack and glared at me.
"Give me a tour of the armory room." I ordered. His eyes squinted and he crossed his arms in defiance.
"I was told this pack was very hospitable. I must have been misinformed." I said in a cold irritated voice. I crossed my arms behind my back and began to pace around.
"I will dismiss your rude behavior and chuck it to you being overwhelmed and angry you were brought here unwillingly." He said in a strained voice. I almost laughed at the accuracy of his statement. They were all going to pay for Rickon's actions.
"Rickon is the one to blame for my distaste of this place. He so rudely brought me here." I sighed as I admitted my displeasure for my stay. His lips curled into a smile and he laughed heartedly. He uncrossed his arms and bowed, "I enjoy the fire within you. Hell hath no fury like a women scorned." He winked and laughed again.
His demeaner made me relax, he was bearable at the moment. He spoke words of wisdom after all. He gave me a tour in the end and gave me a history lesson of every ancient weapon in there. As I listened my skin became itchy and I began to fidget. It was as if I wanted to tear my own skin off of me. After a while Tarvius suggested I go for a run in the woods in order to get rid of my itching.
"Your wolf is itching to be let out. It will get less irritating as time passes, but for now you should give into her desires." He said.
It had become so unbearable that I agreed with him. I quickly left the room and ran for the front door, sensing my wolf coming out at any moment.
As my four paws tore through the forest, my soul felt free. I howled at the excitement of it, it was freedom I had never known. My run was interrupted when I suddenly stopped as a mysterious scent engulfed me. It was a mixture of grass and honey, I sniffed the air and followed the scent to a clearing.
There in the open stood a magnificent man. The sun shinned down on him and engulfed him in a bright light. I sensed no threat from him so I shifted to my human form, hiding my silver wolf back inside. I walked into his view and as soon as he saw me a huge smile spread across his face.
I sniffed the air some more and came to the conclusion that he was no wolf nor human. He had to be a woodland creature of sorts, something ancient.
"Hey there pup." His voice was deep with a thick accent.
"What are you?" I asked indifferently as I circled him curiously.
"Oh, I am an ancient trickster of sorts." He responded sarcastically. Indeed I sensed this was an ancient creature, but what was he?!
"Would you like to see a trick?" He asked with a crooked smile. He was a very tall man, over six feet in height. A very lean but muscular built, his arms and chest covered in blue tattoos. His face was riddled with freckles that were over shadowed by his bright green eyes and blood red hair, which was braided neatly behind his head.
He flicked his fingers and a gold coin appeared out of thin air. He waved his hands a few more times and more gold coins appeared. He smiled broadly showing off his white teeth. This was no ordinary man indeed. I stepped forward and picked up one of the gold coins, examining it carefully. The gold coin had a rune on one side of it, I sniffed it. It smelled of honey and grass just like him.
From a human perspective this man was extremely handsome. His type of looks were not human however, he had to be something else. He laughed at my confusion and pranced around me. He did not show signs of being a threat, only of curiosity.
I bent down to examine the gold coins one more time and I gasped as I threw the coin back on the ground in disgust. Inscribed on one of them was the language of the Gods!
He reached into a bag he had been carrying and pulled out a water skin. He drank greedily from it and then expressed his joy for the mead. As I observed him, I noticed a gold gleam from his eyes. I stepped forward to sniff him one last time. As his full scent hit me, I knew exactly what he was.
"Leprechaun." I said in a disgusted voice. They were the worst tricksters of the supernatural world. He smiled and laughed, confirming my realization.
"I always thought you were smaller in height." I scoffed at him sarcastically. He laughed even louder then, clearly amused by my words. He took another chug from his water skin, his muscles flexing in the sun. He exuberated manly beauty.
"Only in the myths, we are very underrated honestly." He said as he took another chug.
I had known of his kind, but I only experienced their troublesome behavior. I never bothered to know them personally. As far as I knew they had hidden away centuries ago in the deepest caves of the world, never to resurface again.
