SYDNEY As I descended the stairs, the warm scent of sizzling bacon and freshly brewed coffee wafted up, mingling with the earthy, smoky aroma of all the pack members gathered below, their rugged scent a testament that they are more than I expected. I can sense that everyone is waiting for me, including my mate, whose scent is stronger than the others. I felt a flutter in my chest, but Katrina's calm presence steadied me. Luckily, I already have her now, and I'm not alone in this battle. My wolf's presence reminds me to keep going, no matter the situation I'm in.
