I watched in silence as Alexis's face turned blue, her eyes bulging as she struggled to breathe. Alpha Gray's grip on her neck was too tight, and I knew I had to do something; otherwise, he would kill my sister.
"Alpha, stop!" I tugged on his arm to make him stop, but he was boiling with anger. "You're going to kill her!"
But he didn't seem to hear me. His eyes were fixed on Alexis, and his face twisted in rage. Luna Lyra tried to intervene. She grabbed my mate's arm, but he shook her off.
"Let her go, Alpha!" Luna Lyra pleaded. "Alexis is pregnant, please think of your child!”
But Alpha Gray's anger was too far gone. He was beyond reason. Alexis's legs were kicking wildly, her hands grasping at Alpha Gray's wrists as she tried to pry his fingers off her neck.
